Our Story

About Sabba

A family-run home on one of the Maldives' most unspoiled islands — built on genuine hospitality, not resort formality.

Fodhdhoo Island

A Small Island,
A Big Welcome

Sabba Beach Hotels began as a single guesthouse on Fodhdhoo, a tiny local island in Noonu Atoll that most visitors to the Maldives never see. What started as a handful of rooms run by a local family has grown into three properties — Sabba Summer Suite, Sabba Beach Suite, and Sabba Beach Villa & Spa — but the idea has never changed: give guests the real Maldives, not a fenced-off resort island.

Every guest is greeted personally at Malé airport, escorted by speedboat, and welcomed with a flower garland and fresh coconut. From there, the whole island becomes yours to explore — the private bikini beach, a house reef alive with turtles and reef fish, and a community of around 150 people who have called Fodhdhoo home for generations.

Our Team

Raised on This Island,
Ready to Host You

Our team is local — many staff grew up on Fodhdhoo or a neighbouring island, and it shows in how they take care of guests: airport transfers, snorkeling trips, fishing excursions, and everyday hospitality all come from people who genuinely love this place. Whatever language you're most comfortable in, someone on our team likely speaks it.
